even I liked the oriental sounding part, i prefered the more ambient sounding begining. the track itself is a bit short and you should have done a second part (repeat the intro again and create a new main part) ... i agree with you: the malstroem is a great device ;)- intro and sounddesign is a phat 10!

amazing production, I can't believe this is all maelstrom!
I enjoyed playing with the tempo, sounds super sexy at 60 bpm and hilarious at 128 xD
I particularly loved that sitar at the start, then a great contrast with the arabian flutes!
I agree with boilerz on this one, you have really captured the vibe of an arabian night where men are riding on their camels late at night to find a magic carpet floating above the sky!
